What is the Startup India scheme?

Startup India is a Government of India initiative, run by DPIIT (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade), to build a strong ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship. Recognised startups get tax benefits, easier compliance, IPR support and access to funding programmes.

Eligibility

Who can apply for DPIIT recognition?

Entity type

Private limited company, LLP or registered partnership firm.

Age

Up to 10 years from the date of incorporation.

Turnover

Annual turnover not above ₹100 crore in any financial year.

Innovation

Working towards innovation or improvement of products, processes or services.
